Ice rink

1What are the prices for the ice rink?
A single ticket for children under 13 years of age costs € 3.50 per child. A ticket for people 13 years of age and older costs € 5.00 per person. Separate skate hire costs € 2.50 per pair of skates. Multi-tickets valid for 10 visits are also available. For children a multi-ticket costs € 28.00 excluding skate hire and € 48.00 including skate hire. For adults a multi-ticket costs €40.00 excluding skate hire and € 60.00 including skate hire. Please note that children under 3 years of age are not allowed to enter the ice rink for safety reasons.
2Is it possible to hire skates?
Yes, it is possible to hire skates on site. This costs € 2.50 per pair. We have 280 pairs of skates ranging from size 27 to size 47. We cannot guarantee that we will have your size available when you arrive.
3Do you ask for a deposit for the hire of skates?
We do not ask for a deposit, but we do ask you to leave your shoes with us.
4Is skating with speed skates permitted on the ice?
No, unfortunately you may only enter the ice rink on normal skates (figure skates and hockey skates). Speed skates are only allowed on round ice rinks, otherwise it is too dangerous.
5Is using your own skates permitted on the ice rink?
Yes, that is possible. All types of skates are allowed except for speed skates and clap skates.
6Can I bring a chair for my child to hold on to on the ice rink?
Unfortunately this is not possible, but we do have special aids. If you hire skates for your child from us, you may use one on request free of charge, subject to availability of course. If you do not hire skates from us, it costs € 2.50. Please note that for safety reasons the ice rink is not accessible for children under the age of 3.
7Is there a minimum age for entering the ice rink?
The ice rink is accessible to anyone 3 years of age or older. Children under the age of 13 may only enter the ice rink accompanied by an adult.
8Can I buy tickets for the ice rink in advance?
Tickets are only available at the ice rink and through some of our partners.
9How many people are allowed on the ice rink at the same time?
A maximum of 250 people may be on the ice rink at any one time.
10How big is the ice rink?
The ice rink is 650 m2.
11Is the ice rink covered?
Yes, there is a large roof over the ice rink so you can keep dry even when it’s raining. The sides are open all around the rink.

Festival grounds

1What are the opening hours of the festival and the ice rink?
The IJsvrij Park Festival is open 7 days a week from:
Friday 30 November 2018 to Sunday 6 January 2019.
Monday to Friday from 12 noon until 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
During the Christmas holidays open daily from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Open at Christmas and New Year.
2Is it possible to buy food and drinks at the festival site?
Certainly. There is a wide range of food and drinks available, for young and old.
3Can I bring my own drinks to the festival site?
No, you may not consume your own drinks and/or food in the winter pavilion and/or on the ice rink.
4Can I pay with my debit card at the festival?
Certainly, in fact it is the only payment method! It is not possible to pay with cash throughout the entire festival site.
5Is there Wi-Fi at the festival site?
No, there is no free Wi-Fi available for visitors.
6Is the festival site accessible for disabled people?
Yes, the festival site is accessible for disabled people, but we do not have separate toilet facilities for the disabled (however there are no steps up to the toilets). Unfortunately the ice rink is not accessible for wheelchair users.
7I lost something at the festival site. Is there a place where found objects are kept?
Lost property is kept at the ticket counter until the end of the festival (7 January). After that it goes to the Bureau Vermaeck office, until 1 February. If you have lost something you can send an email to info@ijsvrij.nl
8Are dogs allowed on the festival grounds?
Not on the ice rink and in the pavilion, but dogs are allowed on the rest of the site.
9Are there lockers at the festival site?
No, there are no lockers available.
10Is the festival site open during storms?
We can be open as usual in many weather conditions, but in a storm that is not advisable. Keep an eye on our website and social media for information.
11Are umbrellas allowed on the festival site?
It depends on how busy we are. Follow the instructions of our employees.

2Is it possible to park at the festival site?
Cars can be parked in the streets outside the park. In some streets there is paid parking until 6 p.m.; in other streets there is paid parking until 11 p.m. In the weekend there is also paid parking in some streets. More information can be found at www.rotterdam.nl/parkeren.
3What is the best way to reach the location by public transport?

4Are there places where I can park my bicycle?
You can park your bicycle in the regular bicycle racks in and around Het Park. During busy times, we will anticipate this with extra parking spaces for bicycles.
